Bio: About me :
Background
I have majored in Computer Science in September 2018, with two specializations :
- Networking & Security
- Software Engineering
I have a great interest in distributed systems research and Erlang. It is something that I have discovered thanks to Prof. Peter Van Roy, who has been my Master’s thesis supervisor and research mentor as I pursued my work in the context of the LightKone.eu research project.
Research
I am currently studying distributed edge computing models using the properties of Erlang, running on bare-metal hardware GRiSP embedded systems. Ad hoc infrastructure-less networks of Erlang nodes that also provide sensing and actuating features thanks to GRiSP have opened the path to numerous possibilities such as cluster self-orchestration, reliable distributed storage and remote execution and even collaborative cognitive functions that rely on multiple sources of sensor data simultaneously. I believe that further research in this direction may lead to new programming patterns for distributed autonomous Erlang applications at the edge.
